Huiyu Lan is a curator whose practice is shaped by lived experience, intuition, and sensory perception. Trained in theatre and scenographic practice, she approaches exhibitions as spatial and experiential narratives, translating abstract ideas into embodied environments. Rather than beginning with fixed theoretical frameworks, her work emerges from atmospheres, encounters, and affective states.
Her curatorial interests engage with psychoanalytic and philosophical thought, particularly the ideas of Lacan, Jung, and Martin Heidegger, alongside broader questions of subjectivity, symbolic structures, and perception. She is also interested in metaphysical systems, including Chinese cosmology, feng shui, and Western astrology, which she approaches as alternative ways of understanding space, time, and experience.
